Indians have been increasing a lot in foriegn countries and as they increase options to call India have been increasing a lot ranging from VOIP to different calling cards with different options. Experiences of mine and my friends made me to write this article about different ways of calling to India and their positives & negatives.

                                                                                                          Different people have different requirements and based on the available technology back home, I would like to suggest these cards which will be useful to you.

                             Positives: Great Quality, Phone number from which you are calling will be displayed to the person you are calling in India so that he can identify you before he lifts his phone(I would like to refer this feature as CALLER ID DISPLAY from next card reviews), good connectivity, PIN Less dialing etc…

                             Negatives: High Price, Service Charges, less profitable offers provided to customers(but seems to be slightly improving in this aspect due to heavy competetion).

  Overall, people who call India very less and who are least bothered of minutes & offers can happily go for this card.

2) PINGO Calling Card (7.3 Cents/min)

                             Positives: Great Quality, , good connectivity, more offers, PIN Less dialing

                             Negatives: High Price, Invisible Service Charges, No Caller ID Display feature

  Overall, people who call India very less and who are least bothered of minutes can happily go for this card.

3) Free Call Planet ( 4.9 Cents/min)

                             Positives: Moderate-Great Quality,  good connectivity, less Price, PIN less Dialing, No service charge

                             Negatives:  No Caller ID Display feature

 This is my personal favourite as this gives me more minutes for less amount which suits my requirement best. Other cards provide 60 minutes for 5$ where as this card offers you 100 minutes for 5$. But the main thing in this card is you need to subscribe for minimum of 25$ per month and you would get 500 minutes for that and they bill you $25 everymonth and you dont have a option of recharging only for smaller amounts for some months and higher amounts for other. But this card is very useful to the people who call India more frequently and who are spending more than $25 at present bcoz they would be getting more number of minutes(200 min. extra) which gives them chance to talk for more time and also they can call more friends which gives a chance to us to keep in touch with most of people as I believe good relationship is very important in life. 4) Miscellaneous: We have lot of other cards which provide service varying form 6.9-7.9 cents/min like RangaTel , Reliable India, AirTel etc….. You can get 100 min.talk-time for $5 as Independence day special in Reliable

My suggestion is most of the cards give $10 talk-time when you subscribe for first time or when you are referred by a friend, so try to use as many offers as you can and once you have used all those then you can settle for one. By using different cards each month you can easily save more than $50/year which is high.
