   54th FilmFare Awards for year 2006 were given in a function held in Hyderabad and Gemini TV has telecast the complete function today. The main Highlights of function are:

• Megastar Chiranjeevi & Mammutti were felicitated with Legendary awards by Superstar Amitabh Bachan.
• Prince Mahesh Babu was awarded with Best Actor award for his action in the blockbuster movie ‘POKIRI’ and for the same movie Puri Jaganath was awarded with Best Director
• Abhishek Bachan & Aiswaraya Rai were special attraction to the function
• Genelia was awarded with Best Actress award for her acting in ‘BOMMARILLU’
• KrishnamRaju was awarded with Life Time Achievement award
• Nagarjuna, Venkatesh, A.R.Rahman etc… were also graced this occasion
• Cherry(chirutha) has also accompanied his father for this function
