  As everyone predicted and expected 3rd test match also ended in a draw, which made India to win Test series against Pak in Indian soil after a long gap of 27 years. India had a chance to declare after playing some overs so that when Pak try to play aggressively to win the match to level the series, India could have picked up the wickets as it’s difficult to score on that pitch. But India didn’t take a risk of that as they were already in Lead and hence might have thought that let’s play the game safe. So, India didn’t declare until they scored 284 runs for loss of 6 wickets with a total lead of 374 runs. It’s impossible to chase 374 runs in 47 overs and India could have declared earlier to give the bowlers some more time and might have won the series with 2-0. They might have definitely felt that they should have declared earlier once the match is completed. The Positives in the batting for India are Ganguly continuing his brilliant form and was out playing a loose shot after making good 91 runs and Dinesh Karthik who struggled with his form through out the series scored a 50 at-last.

Pakistan openers have given them a good start and as overs are also very less the match looked very dull. But once the first wicket fell for pak in the bowling of Kumble then there was sudden shift in tempo and it looked like some thing dramatical is going to happen with ball keeping very low some times and Kumble bowling with some more pace and Pak lost 3 wickets with 70+ runs on board and Partnership of Iqbal and Butt added 70 more runs for 4th wkt but once again Kumble picked 2 more wickets within no time and Pak was 144/5 in 31.5 overs and then birthday boy Yuvi was introduced into bowling and he too picked up two wickets including crucial wicket of Misabul which made things more worse for Pak and they were at 154/7 in 35.2 overs. Still 11 overs were left for the day and there was every chance of pak losing last 3 wickets, but luck prevailed their side and Pak were at 162/7 in 36 overs when Game was stopped due to bad light. If bad light haven’t stopped the play or if India had declared quickly there was every possibility of India winning the match. But at-last India will be very happy for winning the series after 27 years and mainly not losing any match in the series and mostly being in the upper hand in all the games they played.
