At the end of 3rd day’s play, the third test match is set for great finish slightly favoring India. Indian top order batsmen except Sehwag failed miserably and at one stage it was 125/5 when Ganguly was out. But whenever India is in crisis, one man takes incharge and he was there for team this time also, he is none other than Laxman. Laxman with some useful contributions from lower order took India lead Past 400 runs, especially the contribution of 30 runs from R.P.Singh with the bat was very crucial. Pathan & Dhoni too chipped with some useful runs. Laxman was the top scorer from India and fell as last wicket after well made 79 runs. India was bowled out for 294 in 2nd innings by increasing their total lead to 412 runs. Hence Aussies should chase down 413 runs to create a record of 17th consecutive win and if they chase these runs then it will be only the 2nd time in history to chase such a huge score in 4ht innings by any Team.

With massive score to chase and without Hayden it was always tough for inexperience Aussies openers to play out the last hour of 3rd day’s play. As expected they failed again and they became victims to Pathan bowling once again. Pathan has bowled once again brilliantly with new ball. At the end of 3rd day’s play Aussies have scored 65/2 and they still need to get 348 runs with 8 wickets in hand. They have a very tough task ahead but with the batting order they have we can’t predict anything and just we should anxiously wait for the start of 4th day’s play.
