Indian batsmen showed the real caliber and and have crossed the 1st innings innings of Aussies and infact ended their first innings for a masive 532 runs with a lead of 69 runs. Sachin Tendulkar has made his 38th century in tests and also was the highest scorer and remained unbeaten on 154 and his majestic was clearly visible in his play with full effect. This is Sachin’s third unbeaten century in Sydney. India started very well in the morning with Ganguly playing very aggressively and he took the counter attack on Aussies and at one stage it looked like India is aheading into a massive lead until he rescued a mistimed shot into hands of mid-off fielder in the bowling of Hogg. He made 67 runs, if he was there for some more time then Aussies would have been in deeper trouble. Then the lower middle order once again didn’t play well and all Yuvi, Dhoni & Kumble got out cheaply and suddenly India score became 345/7, but 139 run partnership between Harbhajan and Sachin made sure that India crossed the Aussies score and Harbhajan played superbly and reached his first fifty against Aussies and then he was out for well made 63 runs. Even the other two tail-enders played well and added some useful runs in which batting of Ishant Sharma was lovely to watch, especially hitting boundaries in the bowling of Bret Lee irritated Aussies and it was real fun and brought happiness in the Indian fans. At last Ishant was out after making 23 runs in which he hit 5 fours.

Australia started their second innings cautiously and they had to play little tricky 20 minutes of play before close of 3rd day and both openers negotiated the five overs they played in 2nd innings and they made 13 runs at end of 3rd day’s play. It will be very interesting to watch tomorrow, if India gets some early break in the morning session and if both spinners bowl to their potential who knows India might once again repeat the history and stop the winning streak of Aussies and that’s what all Indian fans are eagerly waiting for.
