       It was a very sad day in Indian cricket history as India has lost the second test played against Aussies, infact Umpires played for Aussies and made sure that they win the match. There were 4 poor decisions given by umpires against India that too mainly for well settled and in-form batsmen, 2 out of 4 are clear not-out and remaining 2 LBWs will defintely be given not-out by any other umpires except the two present for this match. Australia has declared after making 401/7 in 2nd innings and thus asking India to score 333 runs in 72 overs. India after losing 3 wickets were playing well and match was aheading for a draw and there entered Umpires and Dravid was given out for Caught behind. When there was a clear snick by Symmonds and there was a clear sound he was given not-out and he went on to make 160 runs otherwise Aussies would have been bowled out below 250 in first innings and match would have been totally different. Even in second innings Hussey was plumb and was given not out and he also scored highest runs for Aussies in second innings, whereas otherside when India batsmen were not-out they were judged out by umpires and once Dravid was given out, Ganguly who was playing brilliantly was also given out and there was a clear doubt that ball landed before going into slip fielder but Umpire didn’t refer it to 3rd umpire but consulted Ponting and gave his decision as Out.

This match will remain in cricket history not for cricket excellence but for all wrong reasons and Umpiring faults. There were as many as 10 wrong decisions given by umpires which were against India. BCCI should take it serously and should protest before ICC and some action should definitely be taken against those two umpires and some new rules should be introduced to take help of technology so that these type of controversies doesn’t occur again. All Indian cricket fans were very much disappointed and became angry on umpires and if you have seen any forum or discussion box you will get to know the anger of fans and really it’s very frustrating to lose due to bad decisions. Aussies team if they are real professionals they should feel pity about their win and a true sportsman cannot really enjoy this type of win.
