         India has won the 4th ODI against Autralia by 8 runs held today in Chandigarh to reduce Aussies lead to 2-1. and brought smiles back again on all Indian fans. It was a great cricket match which went until last over and at one stage when Symmonds was batting they were cruising to victory with ease requiring just 24 runs from 20 balls and 5 wickets in hand. Everyone thought that some magic should happen to save India and it happend in the form of R.P.Singh. RP bowled Symmonds and he run-out Hodge for none in continous balls of 47th over which brought some hope for Indians. Now the equation became 24 of 18 balls. But Murali Karthik bowled a brilliant 48th over where he just conceeded 2 runs and Aussies required 22 of 12 balls. RP bowled a good 49th over again to give just 6 singles making equation 16 of last over for victory. But J Hopes hit a four in the first ball of ZaheerKhan(50th over) , but Zaheer held his nerve for remaining 5 balls and bowled wicket to wicket and didn’t give any chance to score big shots and thus Aussies lost with a small margin of 8 runs in the end eventhough they had 3 wickets left.

In the morning session, Indian openers Sachin & Sourav started slowly as ball was doing a lot and in-fact sachin was not given out on two occassions when he was actually out. Luck was on his side and he utilised it and made 79 runs in end. All the batsmen played their part, both Ganguly & Yuvi made 40 odd runs each and it was Dhoni’s 50 in 35 balls and Uthappa’s cameo in the end which took India to 291 runs.
